How To Create An Unprivileged WMI Service Account

In Chapter 1 of SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor: Deployment and Administration you will find a step-by-step guide on how to create an Active Directory service account for WMI polling purposes. The tutorial instructs you to create the account with Domain Admin privileges. This is useful to get things up and running, for testing purposes, and for troubleshooting. That said, as stated in the book, once you roll things into production it is not a recommended best security practice.
